A Comparison of Maps

HGTV's representation of Palma De Mallorca places emphasis on the locations of the cathedral, the castle, and the parc by the ocean. The bus map highlights these places amongst many others in a much larger view of the city and it's surrounding neighborhoods (for example it shows the Gram Hotel).

HGTV's use of B-Roll Footage

HGTV's b-roll footage in Palma de Mallorca heavily focused on the beach, old architecture, and had the couple explore the caves of Drack.

These caves exist on the other side of the island in Porto Cristo. Porto Cristo is nearly an hour's drive away.

Exploring Palma de Mallorca Musically

In this episode of HGTV's house hunters they chose to use a lot of Salsa music with heavy use of trumpet and fast pace. Spain is not presented with the same mystique as other locations such as England. Instead, the music is very fun, and relaxed and matches how the couple in the shot are partying on a boat on the ocean. Although music in Spain's top 10 charts on iTunes matches this fast pace, it does not use much trumpet instrumental. This indicates that the musical reference is a bit dated for the area.
